CWDM_DWDM network test

Program overview

Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) network: Up to 18 wavelengths can be reused on the same optical fiber to increase the bandwidth of the optical fiber.

The wavelength range is 1271 nm to 1611 nm, and the channel interval is 20 nm, which is ideal for metropolitan area networks.

Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) network: Multiple wavelengths (C+L band) can be multiplexed on the optical fiber. A typical DWDM system can multiplex 40/80/96/120 wavelengths, thereby increasing the fiber bandwidth. It is currently the most common WDM technology used in the Optical Transport Network (OTN).

CWDM/DWDM network testing: Like other fiber optic networks, they must be tested for loss, connector cleanliness, dispersion, and spectral quality.
